Cape Dory 300 Motorsailor   I now make Custom Screens for other boats!    Cape Dory 300 Motorsailor

Westsail/Pacific Seacraft screens

both sizes - oval and rectangular ports

Installation Instructions

All of my screens are made with bronze 18 X 14 insect mesh, soldered to a solid copper frame.

A sturdy and beautiful solution to flimsy, UV challenged plastic screens.

13.5 inches long by 4.75 inches wide.

Order Standard screens for most Cape Dorys with the more common rough cast, portlight with the "sandy" surfaces. (Standard Portlight Example)

Order Navigator screens if you have factory polished ports with the very smooth surfaces. Polished portlights are not very common and are mainly found on later models, 33 and bigger. The standard screens will fit these ports but loosely. The Navigator screens are a wee bit  bigger to make up for the material that was removed during the polishing process. Since Spartan polished each port by hand, there are inconsistencies between ports so the Navigator fit is a best compromise. (Polished Portlight Example)

Both style screens can be fitted from inside the cabin against the existing Spartan tabs usually with no further need for mechanical fasteners.
